Daddy Likes Purple:

We've started a rewards chart with Alanna for good behavior and after she gets 10 points, she gets to choose a fun activity.  This is the first time she got to 10 and she chose to paint nails in the living room.  I was prepared for her to paint mine, but she TOTALLY wanted to paint daddy's instead!!!  Shock of all shocks, he let her!  

She chose pink for one side and purple for the other.  She tried so hard to do a great job.  For the most part, she did!  You can see how hard she is concentrating above.

Then it turned into this!  HAHA, poor daddy.  He was such a good sport.

 At least hers turned out cute!  She requested purple toes with pink sparkles and green on her fingers with purple sparkles.  She's a girl that knows what she wants!!

Late Night Swim:

On the weekends, Cie-J tries to find something that just he and Alanna can do together.  He always tries to make it special.  Last weekend he took her for a late night swim. (8pm)  They only swam for about 20 minutes, but she thought it was FANTASTIC!  Something about swimming while it's getting dark makes it more fun I guess. =)  She of course had to wear and 'doggles' too.  She says she is looking at all the sharks and fish on the bottom.  She also said she found an octopus a couple of days ago.  Hmmmm.

Alanna and I were waiting in the waiting room to see Dr. Storey, and there was a wooden tic tac toe board next to us.  Alanna quickly got to work putting the "O's" and "X's" in a line.  A random lady next to us asked Alanna what letters they were.  She said "this one is an O and this one is a........hmmmmm......a CROSS!"  The lady commented how it sure did look like a cross and Alanna said "Yep, and Jesus died on the cross for all our sins."  Living in the Bible belt, every one here is a Christian, so they lady nodded and told Alanna she was right.  Then Alanna pointed her little finger at the lady and said "And YOU have sins!!!"  

Oh my!!  I didn't now whether to laugh or move to the other side of the room!!  Thankfully the lady laughed and thought it was cute.  I think we need to discuss things we DON'T say to other random people.  

Then again, I won't have funny things to post on my blog...

 

Pink And Sparkly:

  As we walk past the salon in Wal-Mart, she said "Mom, lets go get a pedicure!"  HAHA!  Sounded good to me, so we went in.  The woman suggested that I sit in chair #4 and Alanna in chair #5.  I told her that she could just sit in my lap, but she insisted that they weren't busy and that Alanna could have her own chair.  Alanna was thrilled and sat up there like a big girl.  She even said, "Mom, take my picture!"

She picked out a pretty pink color and rainbow sparkles to go on top (of course!) and then said "Mom, let's match!"  I told my lady that I'd like the pink but she could pass on the sparkles.  I turned my massage chair on and leaned back to enjoy it, when Alanna loudly asked "Mom, why are you boobies shaking like that?!?"  I quietly told her that I had my massage chair on.  She said she wanted hers on too.  I told her no, but it was hard to stop her as the 'start' button was big and bright red..  She turned hers on and that girl just about flew out of her chair!  It was bumping and kneading and jostling her tiny little body around and all the while she was yelling "Turn it off, I don't like it, turn it off Mom!!!!!"  

I almost wet my pants from laughing SO HARD.  It was really really funny and everyone else in the store thought so too.

Alanna's First VBS:

She is SO proud of herself and loves to carry her "pack pack" like a big kid.

I CANNOT believe how big she is getting!  And look at all that curly red hair!!!

Nuts.  We are less than a month away from her 3rd birthday.  The countdown is on...
