Friday Funnies:

A couple of days ago, Alanna saw an older man pulling an oxygen tank behind him.  She looked at him, looked at me, and then said "Mom, why would that man bring his vacuum with him?"

Guitar Lessons:

  I teach piano lessons to my friend's daughter, Aryna once a week.  As I was at the piano, Alanna ran back to Wyatt's room and we could hear them laughing and having fun.  When my lesson was over, Alanna came running out with a guitar in her hand excitedly exclaiming, "Wyatt taught me to play the piano!"

I have a video but I can't get it to upload.  I'll try again tomorrow.  She was SO proud of herself for strumming that guitar. =)

Like An Adult:

Alanna loves to put a pencil behind her ear and "act like an adult."  It cracks me up.  If this is what acting like an adult is to her, then I'm all for it.  There are worse things she could be imitating, right?!? =)

Model For A Day:

Alanna got to be a model for a day.  She was SO excited!  

A children's boutique in San Angelo put out a casting call on Facebook for little models for their store website.  I submitted Alanna and they called me and said they wanted her! FUN!

She got to wear this adorable pink outfit that she loves because it has a "spinny skirt"!!!!

She snapped right into character in front of that camera and the photographer said "she's a natural at this."  HAHA!  She just has had millions of pictures taken of her in her short little three years of life.

I asked if I could snap a couple of action shots for my blog and they said yes.  I was excited to be able to share the behind the scenes shots.  And the best news is....I get a copy of the edited imagines from the photo shoot on CD next week!  I'm one proud mama. 

I love my beautiful girl.

And you know what...she's becoming just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. :)

Friday Funnies:

Mickey Mouse paid a visit to Alanna at her 'school' for Valentine's Day.  I knew she would be SO excited.

He brought her a balloon bouquet, a giant size card, and a brown stuffed bear.  Then he passed out special treats to her friends in her class.  It was so much fun.

Now to the funny part.....

As I picked her up yesterday, I asked her if she had had a good day and if she was so excited for her special visitor at school.  Our conversation went something like this:

Me: So, did you have a great day today?

A: Yes, but I need to ask you a question.

Me: Okay, what?

A: Mom, who was it really inside that Mickey?

Me: What do you mean?

A: I really know that someone was inside that Mickey case.  They just borrowed his dress.

Me: Well, it was one of Mickey's helpers.  They helped him come to surprise you.

A: Well, I think it was an old man inside a Mickey case, but it's okay because I still liked him.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!!  

This kid cracks me up!       

Penny: Alanna's Best Dog:

Alanna calls my friend Beth's dog Penny, her BEST dog.  Forget that she has her own dog at home.  Forget that Nana and Papa have a favorite little lap dog Nickie, too.  Even cousin Savannah's little Yorkie Tucker (who used to be ours) can't compete with Penny.  She really is her best dog.  We go to see her at least once a week.  Some days Alanna cries when it's time to leave because she will miss Penny.  From the moment we walk in the door, Alanna takes this position on the couch and Penny jumps up and lays on her.  It's their routine.  They both know it well.  And before we leave, Alanna gets to give Penny three small bacon treats.  Thank goodness my friend Beth is on board with this "best dog" thing, because she sees us A LOT! 

Poor Penny in this picture seems to be screaming for help with her eyes, but I promise she loves Alanna just as much as Alanna loves her.  Haha.
