The Cleaning Lady:

I bought this tiny little travel size spray bottle at Wal-Mart so that Alanna could help me 'clean' around the house.  She does a GREAT job!  Give that girl a paper towel and her bottle of water and she goes to town!  
Then....she spied the big spray bottle in the kitchen and suddenly her little travel bottle wasn't good enough.

 This big spray bottle sprays A LOT of water!!  She was soaking the couch, the walls, the dog, etc.  We decided that the swing set outside needed to be cleaned instead.

 She is very thorough and does a great job.  It was comical to watch because that big bottle requires her to use both hands and a scrunched up nose to get it spray out.

A job well done!
Now if can just train her to scrub toilets we will be all set!

Open, Close, Open, Close:

One of Alanna's new favorite games is the "open, close" game.  ANYTHING that can be opened and closed will work.  Trash can, door, diaper genie, toilet lid, etc.

 She also plays this game with the light switches but it's called the "on, off" game. The good news is, she is learning her opposites!  The bad news is,it gets old really quickly.

P.S. Totally random...but as I was sitting here typing this post, I felt something on the top of my head.  Kinda like something had jumped on there.  I reached up and it fell onto my shirt.  A NASTY Texas bug of some sort.  I dance and wiggle and scream and flail around and when I make sure he is good and dead, I come back to find all kinds of sentences that I accidentally typed during my little fit. (kinda like this 'asldkgjsalrkeg; khbgalskec lasdjkhg') I almost left it but it probably wouldn't be as funny to you since you didn't get to see the whole thing.  I. HATE. BUGS.

Friday Funnies:

A couple of days ago we were in the grocery store.  I decided to go very early so it wouldn't be crowded.  There were lots of older people, but no pushing and shoving crowds.  YAY!  (I hate grocery shopping)

Just as we were heading down to the coffee section, we pass an elderly man wearing an eye patch.  Alanna sees him and excitedly yells "HOOK!"

Oh. My. Goodness. Gracious.

Thankfully the sweet old man just played along and said "arggg" as he walked by.  How in the world would I explain to a 1 1/2 year old that she was being rude?!?

Sometimes the things that come out of her mouth just plain shock me.  She's lucky she's so cute.

Boo, Boo, Hi:

One of my friends told me about a website that's just for kids.  It has games, stories, rhymes, and all kinds of adorable stuff.  The best part is that it is interactive.  Basically, Alanna can push any key on the computer and it will do something.  She LOVES it.

 One of her favorite games is a Peek-a-boo game.  The other day she asked me if she could play "boo boo hi."  I had no idea what she was talking about until she pointed to the "puter" and said play.  

AH HA!  She couldn't say peek-a-boo, so it came out "boo boo hi."  So precious.

She cracks up when the little door opens and the guy says peek-a-boo.

DISNEY Heaven:

It's not shock to anyone that knows Alanna, that she LOVES Mickey and Minnie.

We went to visit "Gunkle and Jess" this weekend in Dallas and in their mall is a Disney Store.  

Oh. My. Word. 

Alanna gasped when we walked inside.  Bless her little heart, she was completely overwhelmed and didn't know where to look first.  We took her to the Minnie section and quickly found some sunglasses, a dinner plate, and a cup with a straw.  When we checked out, we got her a Minnie bag to put it all in.  She was in Disney Heaven! (and can I just say that it was ALL on sale and we got all of that for under $12!  Not bad for a trademark brand!!)  Thanks Nana and Papa!

A little later, we went to Babies R Us and found a cute little Minnie dress-up costume.  Papa got that for her too. It is safe to say that Alanna was totally Minnied out this weekend!!
