Friday Funnies:

Two days after her party, Alanna asked me if she could just be two again.  I asked her why and she said she didn't want to be three anymore "because it was pretty terrible."  I think because Papa and Nana had to go back to the airport and Daddy had to go back to work and we were just back to our plain ol' daily routine.  It made me laugh.  So I told her she could be two again for this week and we'd try to be three again on Saturday. (her REAL birthday)

Birthday Party:

After she woke up and saw her balloons, she realized the whole day was going to be full of fun things!!!

 Alanna got to hold a turtle and she was SO PROUD of herself!  Then the crazy lady that was showing the animals to the kids, put a hissing cockroach in her mouth!  You can hear the gasps when she does it.  The young girl behind her does it too.  YUCK!!!

Daddy didn't put a roach in his mouth, but he DID hold a Honduran Milk Snake around his neck.  The crazy animal lady thought Alanna might touch it if daddy held it and papa held her.  No such luck.  She has decided that she HATE snakes and is scared of them now.  At least she figured that out on her own. 

We had such a blast at this party, and the nature center was the perfect place for it!  So many of her friends came out and we had the best time.

Bath Toy:Ariel

 Alanna got TWO red headed toys for her birthday.  She was so excited.  This Ariel toy turns colors in hot and cold water.  She LOVED it and took the longest bath last night to play with her.  We have definitely moved on from baby toys now.  Alanna was kinda concerned that Ariel only had on a "booby sack" AKA bra.  We just told her that it was her swim suit.  She wants to buy her a shirt.  Ha!

Best Part Of Childhood:

 MAKING FORTS IN THE LIVING ROOM!!

My brother and I used to do this all the time when we were young and we LOVED it.  Cie-J remembers the forts of his childhood too.  Alanna thought this was the coolest idea ever and we all had to get in it with her.  Mickey and dog included.  I let her eat her afternoon snack in there too.  Alanna said "thanks mom, you are the best mom to me."  =)

Friday Funnies:

1.  Alanna told me last night that she no longer wants me to buy 'baby wipes' and that we HAVE to buy 'big girl wipes' instead. (the box I bought has a picture of a newborn on it.)  She was completely offended!

2.  The other day, I was driving and heard Alanna talking in the back seat.  I asked her what she was saying and she said she was asking Jesus to give her her sins back!!  I told her that we can't get them back, that He forgives them and they are gone forever.  She thought about it for a second and said "well, can we find some new sins?!?"  HA!  Yes sweetie, just about daily you do. =)

3.  Alanna's THIRD birthday party is TOMORROW!  When Alanna heard me say that I might be a little bit sad, she said "it's okay mom, when I turn into a baby again, then I can be in your tummy and be a baby."  Ummm....doesn't work that way!  HAHA.

After Nap Snuggles:

Right after Alanna wakes up from her nap, she wants to crawl up on someone's lap and snuggle for about 5-10 minutes.  I LOVE this part of the day because she is always on the go and this is my one and only time to get in some cuddles with my baby. 

(ALWAYS my baby...no matter how big she gets!)

On the rare occasions that she sleeps until daddy gets home, she will choose to sit with him.  He loves it.

On this day above though, she woke up and came out of her room and CHOSE THE DOG!!!

She is such a good dog to lay there and be gentle with her.  I think they both loved it.  And if you didn't know, our dog has yellow lasers that that come out of her eyes.  It's how she scares the squirrels away.
