Lines:

Do you remember the post from a few weeks ago about Alanna always putting things in lines?  NO? Go read it.......I'll wait....

Okay, so she is STILL obsessed with lining things up.  Above she has all her ponies in a line and her Barbies in the line too.  How very OCD of her.  I know it couldn't be from her father.  Hmmm....  ;)

True Story:

Remember the picture from last week with Alanna holding her carnations from her date with daddy?  Well, they've been on the dining room table and one day Alanna wanted to smell them but couldn't quite reach them, so she grabbed two of them and pulled them to herself to smell them.  And they broke!  So all the pretty flowers were standing tall and those two flowers were hanging down.  She was heartbroken!!  She was so sad that she broke them because she didn't mean to.  After crying she said "I'm gonna pray to Jesus to fix my flowers!!  He'll fix them for me!"  That night she said a prayer at bed time and I'm not even joking...the next morning she ran to the table and those two flowers were standing up tall again!  SERIOUSLY!!  I was shocked!  I wish I could have gotten before and after pictures.  When Cie-J came home I showed him and he was speechless too.  Just crazy!!!  So...anyone have a prayer request for Alanna to pray about???  =)

Friday Funnies:

Alanna was being silly at supper time and Cie-J asked her to be still and eat.  She said "but mom is the boss of this house." (She hears this often.)  I piped up and told her that, yes, I am the boss most of the time, but when daddy is home, he is the bigger boss.  Seeing that I had a teaching moment, I asked her who the BIGGEST boss of our home is...hoping she would say God.  Without a second to think about it, she yelled out, "OBAMA!!!!"

Thank You Notes:

 

I was raised to write a thank you note after you receive a gift.  We are teaching Alanna the same thing.  I wrote the note, then she wrote her name and painted a special picture on them.  These were for Christmas....I just didn't want to post this until I was sure each person got theirs in the mail. =)

Also...I found this on my phone today.....haha!

Date With Daddy:

Daddy took Alanna to the arcade at the "moviater" and she got to play her favorite game.  Yes, Cie-J Brown has influenced his three year old to love video games.  It cracks me up.  He works the gas pedal but she drives and shifts the gears.  Next time I will tag along and get some video of it.  It's hysterical!

She came home with a handful of flowers and was grinning ear to ear. =)  I'm not sure what else or where else they went, but that's okay with me.  I really love their time together and want it to be special for them.

I love LOVE that he takes her on special dates.  I hope she learns how a man should treat her in the future (the DISTANT future) and also that she will look back and treasure these times with her daddy.

P.S. She insisted that she had to wear a skirt on their date.  Sweet girl.
