Penny:

Alanna's most favorite dog in the world (besides Asha of course) is Penny!  She LOVES this dog.  Penny's owner got a 40 hour a week job (super sad for us, but happy for her) and so we don't get to go visit Penny very much anymore.  We used to see her several times a week.  Alanna has been begging to see her lately, so today...we did!
Penny ran around the house in fast circles and Alanna was laughing and grinning ear to ear.  As soon as Alanna climbed on the couch and called her up there, Penny got as still as she could and Alanna petted her from head to tail for about ten minutes.  I think they both missed each other. =)

Like Mother, Like Daughter?

Okay, we all know that Alanna looks 99% like Cie-J.  She has from day one.  But I got curious and looked at some pictures of me when I was around her age and guess what?!?  I think we look similar too!  Maybe she has some features that are looking like mine?!?
 Whatcha think?  A little bit???

Friday Funnies:

Conversation between Alanna and I this week:

A: Mom, sometimes my friend Jack spits.  And some times my friend Cole spits too.  Why do boys spit?

Me: Well honey, boys just sometimes do things that are gross.  It's just what they do.

A: But why?  It's so gross!  I mean, do they think it's funny?  Because it's not!

Me: Yes, I bet they think it's funny.  And sometimes they just do it for fun.  Boys are just very different than girls.

A: Well, we don't think it's funny!  Girls don't like it at all!!

HAHA!  I had to laugh.  I wanted to tell her she is in for a life time of gross things that boys do!

Lately I have been so busy that I haven't written down any funny stories and then by the time Friday rolls around, I forget what even happened!  Soo.....

Tonight, Cie-J bathed Alanna and put her to bed.  I promised that I would go in and sing with her before she fell asleep. (It's been our tradition since she was born.)  When I was done singing, I asked if Daddy had prayed with her.  She said "well, he did pray for everyone else, but he forgot to pray for me!"  I asked her what I needed to pray for and she replied "Just pray that I don't get any cavities!"

LOL!  The things kids worry about!

Cousin Lydia & Target:

As soon as we pulled up, Lydia got excited about the "big balls" outside of Target.  She wanted to stand on them and Alanna just wanted to hug them. =)
We found a cart where they could not only sit together, but face each other too!  They thought it was grand.  And (melt!) they wanted to hold hands while they were in the cart.  So sweet.  I am so glad they love each other.  While we were checking out, Alanna told the lady "this is my cousin!"  She's so proud of her.

Amber & Jovie:

Amber was my college roommate and BFF and bridesmaid.  Jovie is her daughter.  She and Alanna are 10 weeks apart in age.  This was their second time to get together and they had SO MUCH FUN!  They instantly bonded (much to my and Amber's delight) and both were so sad when it was time to go.  It was really nice to catch up with them even if it was only a short visit.
They dresses up like princesses (of course!) and sang and danced for us!
They are both the cutest and sweetest and ornery-est little girls ever.  It was so much fun to see them together.

And here are Amber and I.  I was road worn and she is a sleep deprived mom of a new born baby boy, but we HAD to get one together.

Love these girls!!

#PoorDog

This is Alanna's "mean" face because she was having to take Asha to jail for being naughty. (She REALLY had just been naughty too!  She ran out the front door and attacked the neighbors dog!!!  She's never done this ever before.)  Anywho, she had to go to jail because of it....hand cuffs and all!
Poor dog.

Chiropractor:

One of Alanna's favorite things in the world to do, is to go to the chiropractor!  We LOVE our chiro so that helps too. =)
First thing he does is check her spine out and see where she is out of line.
Alanna is talking non stop while her face is smashed in that little hole.  It's hysterical.  She tells him about her day, her dog, her favorite food, and how daddy has a nervous stomach.  HA!!
Then he uses this tool called an activator to manipulate her spine back into place.  He won't do the hands on "popping" on kids.  She loves it and says it feels like a massage.  She's never once been afraid.
We just really love Doctor Storey and Alanna thinks he pretty much hung the moon.  He is fantastic with kids and has blessed our family so much.  He's more than our doctor, he's our friend.
And then after the appointment is over, Alanna runs from office to office to give out hugs to all the ladies.  And if she is lucky, she will catch the other Chiropractor, Doctor Martinez that she lovingly calls "Dr. Tinez" in the hallway as well.  NO ONE calls him by his real name.   He is known to everyone as Dr. Tinez because that is what the 'boss' called him from day one. =)

We Have Babies!

Alanna has been so excited to watch this whole process happen.  It's like a cool free science experiment at home.  We got to see one of them hatch out of it's shell and that was so fun!  I've never seen anything like that.  Then we get to see the mom AND the dad feed the babies several times a day.  Alanna is SO GLAD that I didn't have to chew up food and then spit it in her mouth when she was a baby. =)

New Trick:

Alanna worked so hard on this little wall for Asha to jump over and they probably had been doing this for over half an hour when I finally decided to grab the camera. =)

Poor Dog:

Poor Dog:
She had to wear a skirt to "match" Alanna.
She looks thrilled doesn't she?
SO proud that they match!
I think Asha's just looking for a way out.
She is such a good dog.
Alanna says she is her very best friend.

Monkey Monday:

She dressed/accessorized herself and said she "looked like a rockstar!"
