Do you remember the post from a few weeks ago about Alanna always putting things in lines?  NO? Go read it.......I'll wait....

Okay, so she is STILL obsessed with lining things up.  Above she has all her ponies in a line and her Barbies in the line too.  How very OCD of her.  I know it couldn't be from her father.  Hmmm....  ;)

True Story:

Remember the picture from last week with Alanna holding her carnations from her date with daddy?  Well, they've been on the dining room table and one day Alanna wanted to smell them but couldn't quite reach them, so she grabbed two of them and pulled them to herself to smell them.  And they broke!  So all the pretty flowers were standing tall and those two flowers were hanging down.  She was heartbroken!!  She was so sad that she broke them because she didn't mean to.  After crying she said "I'm gonna pray to Jesus to fix my flowers!!  He'll fix them for me!"  That night she said a prayer at bed time and I'm not even joking...the next morning she ran to the table and those two flowers were standing up tall again!  SERIOUSLY!!  I was shocked!  I wish I could have gotten before and after pictures.  When Cie-J came home I showed him and he was speechless too.  Just crazy!!!  So...anyone have a prayer request for Alanna to pray about???  =)

Friday Funnies:

Alanna was being silly at supper time and Cie-J asked her to be still and eat.  She said "but mom is the boss of this house." (She hears this often.)  I piped up and told her that, yes, I am the boss most of the time, but when daddy is home, he is the bigger boss.  Seeing that I had a teaching moment, I asked her who the BIGGEST boss of our home is...hoping she would say God.  Without a second to think about it, she yelled out, "OBAMA!!!!"

Thank You Notes:
I was raised to write a thank you note after you receive a gift.  We are teaching Alanna the same thing.  I wrote the note, then she wrote her name and painted a special picture on them.  These were for Christmas....I just didn't want to post this until I was sure each person got theirs in the mail. =)

Also...I found this on my phone today.....haha!

Date With Daddy:
Daddy took Alanna to the arcade at the "moviater" and she got to play her favorite game.  Yes, Cie-J Brown has influenced his three year old to love video games.  It cracks me up.  He works the gas pedal but she drives and shifts the gears.  Next time I will tag along and get some video of it.  It's hysterical!

She came home with a handful of flowers and was grinning ear to ear. =)  I'm not sure what else or where else they went, but that's okay with me.  I really love their time together and want it to be special for them.

I love LOVE that he takes her on special dates.  I hope she learns how a man should treat her in the future (the DISTANT future) and also that she will look back and treasure these times with her daddy.

P.S. She insisted that she had to wear a skirt on their date.  Sweet girl.

I took Alanna to the grocery store with me and it was a very cold and windy day.  She had a knit hat on and wore it the entire time we shopped.  Right as I was about to check out, she said she was hot and wanted to take it off.  What happened next SHOCKED me and I had to take a picture for proof!  The static from the hat caused her curls to go straight.  She looks like a completely different child!!!

Dog Royalty:

Alanna put a tiny pink tiara from her princess barbie on the dog (who was absolutely THRILLED *note sarcarsm*) and said she was the queen.  She kept bowing to her and saying "It's my pleasure your majesty!"  I couldn't stop laughing and she was annoyed that I kept interrupting her.  She cracks me up daily!

Friday Funnies:

A conversation from the back seat one day:

A: Mom, did God make ALL the animals?
Me: Yes, He sure did.
A: So He made monkeys and giraffes?
Me: Yep.
A: He made cats and snakes?
Me: Uh huh.
Me: No, not unicorns.
A: But said ALL animals!!! Did you tell me a lie mom?  Let's talk to dad about it.

When I tried to tell her that unicorns are not real, she didn't believe me!  HAHA.  Oh this girl.

Christmas #3 - Nana and Papa

Alanna was so excited to get her bike.  It was freezing cold, but we all went outside to watch her ride it for the first time.  (In her jammies!)  She kept trying to peddle backwards and found out quickly that it was a brake.

I'm not sure why blogger won't let me post pictures right now, but I have some more really fun pictures to post.  She also got a cuddle-up-it and she was thrilled!  I'll try again tomorrow...stand by.

Christmas #2 - Grammy and Grandpa

It's SO beautiful and she loves it!  HAHA.

 THANKS Grammy and Grandpa!!

P.S. Pay no attention to daddy doing the dishes in the background.  It sounds like she puts it down hard and she doesn't.  He's just banging stuff around. =)

Christmas #1 - Mamaw

All the presents.  She might have been a tad happy.
And it begins...
She was ripping through things so quickly that all my pictures came out blurry!
This was a gun that shoots glow in the dark balls!
Viewmaster!  I didn't know these were still around.  She LOVES it!!
One of her most wanted presents!!!!!!
The aftermath.

Thanks Mamaw for a fun Christmas!  There was much much more to it but these were the only good pictures I got.  I'm telling you, that girl was QUICK!

She wanted to help everyone else open their gifts too.

Monkey Monday:

Holding Mrs. April's dog, Strider, "in her lap."  HAHA!

Friday, January 4, 2013

I've sat here staring at this blank screen for almost an hour now and I still have nothing to say on this blog.

No stories, no pictures...well that's not entirely week I will start the Christmas Recap posts because I didn't want to start them on a Friday.

So, for now, enjoy the silence.  It's a rare occurrence.

Have a happy weekend!

Thursday Funnies: (because I thought it was Friday already and had this prepared)

1. Sometimes when Alanna is driving me crazy, I will tell her "girl, you are driving mommy...." and before I can finish she will yell "NUTS!"

2. Alanna wanted to wear her ring to bed and I told her she couldn't.  She piped up and said "but daddy said I could."  Knowing he would never agree to that, I told her that I knew she was lying.  She said "It was my other father."  Just had to laugh.

3. We caught Alanna playing "kill, kill, kill" with her
Barbies.  I blame daddy and his games.  (Now, before you get your panties in a wad, she was only saying it and not acting it.  Cie-J plays a very old game on his laptop where little men shoot aliens.  It's nothing graphic and she loves to watch them waddle and run.  That's all.)
