Wonderful Weekend Away: Part 1

If you are friends with me on Facebook, you have probably seen these pictures already.  This blog is ultimately for my fun memories and I will one day print it all out as a book for Alanna. =)  So that being said...

Cie-J and I went away for a weekend to a little bed and breakfast in Arkansas.  This was our first time to have any type of 'vacation' since our honeymoon!  It was absolutely perfect and we will be going again some day for sure!!

Our suite was on the far right.  It was beautiful!

We went to Cosmic Caverns and saw the neatest cave.  They are famous for their 'soda straw' ceiling.

They called this 'cave bacon' due to the way it was formed.  LOL!
This is an undergroud lake that is bottomless.  They went 750 feet and still couldn't find an end to it.

This is a huge fault line between Arkansas and Missouri!

More to come tomorrow...

Stinky Water:

Alanna was playing in her playroom while I was on the computer and daddy was in another room.  I hear her saying "oh no, I can't get it."  I asked her what was wrong and she answered "My sock fell down and I can't reach it."  I went in to her play room to find this!

I had to suck in my cheeks while telling her this was naughty and ruined our water.  I wanted to burst out laughing.  I'm sure only my child would think of putting her sock in the drinking water.

Monkey Monday: Making A Mess At Nana's House

I usually don't put words on my Monday posts, but I had to on this one.  When Cie-J and I came back to get Alanna from our weekend away, she told me that she wanted to go back to her house and not stay at Nana's house any longer because it was just too messy!  LOL!!  This is funny because #1 SHE was the one making the mess and #2 my mom's house is probably cleaner than my own 99% of the time. =)

I'm back!!!!!

The hubs and I took an anniversary weekend and went to a Bed and Breakfast for a couple of nights.

It was bliss.

Nana and Papa got to keep Alanna while we were gone.  They had an absolute blast!

Many, many pics to come.

For now, I'll leave you with these...

I just love that he is willing to look silly in a crowded restaurant to play with Alanna.  <3
P.S.  Alanna would like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her Nana in Arkansas!!!

Ranger, or Mule, or Gator?!?:

So, I'm not totally sure what this thing is called....but Alanna wanted to ride it!  We were at my friend Jaymie's house and she came to me and said "Can I ride Wyatt's dad's truck?"  When I went outside, she was already in the drivers seat!  HA!
She thinks this house is the funnest house in the world.  They always have something for her to pet, or ride, or be a part of.
Mr. Ray was so nice and drove them around their property a couple times.  Alanna was grinning ear to ear each time I saw her.
This picture cracks me up because it looks like they are just flying past me but they really weren't even going very fast. (I promise!  I know all the grandma's reading this might be worried)
Wyatt was such a sweet boy and kept his arm around Alanna the whole time.  We just love this family.
I think if Alanna had the choice of going to the zoo or Mrs. Jaymie's house, she'd choose her house every time!!

Alanna's Make Over:

Our mall got a new store called Ulta.  It's really nice and big and carries my brand of make-up!  YAY!

Alanna and I went in the other day to look around and she quickly found some purple eyeshadow that she  thought she HAD to have.  I told her no.  Then the nice sales lady said "I can put some on her if you don't mind.I wanted to say "Are you crazy?  Make up on a two year old?"  But I didn't, and Alanna had jumped up in the chair before I could say anything anyway.
It started with a little eye shadow.  Of course it was the deepest, ugliest purple color...but I couldn't talk her out of it.  The sales lady dabbed the tiniest bit on the brush and applied it to her eyes. Alanna stood up on the chair and looked in the mirror.  We both expected her to smile and shine, but her face was so serious.  She cut her eyes to the sales lady and said "Ummmm.....I need more!"  We busted out laughing.  This girl was serious about her make-up!
Then the sales lady asked if she could do some gloss on her lips too.  Alanna was puckering up before I  could say 'sure'.  She sat there so still and so serious, it was the funniest thing.  I can't say that I actually liked it.  That shade of purple made her fair skin look like she had two black eyes, poor girl.  But she LOVED IT and made me promise to leave it on so daddy could see it! HA!
She literally fell asleep as I was carrying her to the car, so I couldn't get a good picture, but here is the end result.  The lady ended up spraying her with perfume as we left the store too.  She ALSO told Alanna to come back and they could play with make-up again.
Oh my!

Daddy and I made sure to tell her how pretty she is WITHOUT make-up on and that she doesn't need to wear it until she is much older.

Big Girl Car Seat: FLASHBACK

I'm trying to remember how old Alanna was when we bought this bigger car seat and I CAN'T REMEMBER!
(help mom!)

I think she was around 10 or 11 months old.

She was SO PROUD of this seat and loved being in it.
(if you can't tell by the huge smile on her face)
She always held her little feet out like that too.  It was the funniest thing.  I used to grab her feet and smell them and tell her she had stinky feet.
Such a fun game.

Not so fun with a two year old.
They really DO stink now! HA!

And that reminds me...she calls the stuff between her toes 'toe jammies' and I don't want to correct it because it's just too sweet.

There a few things I don't correct because I want to keep them for a little longer.

Deena = Woody from Toy Story
Toe Jammies = Toe Jam
Boogie = Boogers
And all her "R's" sound like "L's"

My personal favorite is "Bleet-oh" for "Burrito"!!
