Mustache Silliness:

When I found this dress with mustaches on it, I knew I had to get it!  It reminds me of Texas and the fact that Alanna has cowboy boots that match, just makes it that much more perfect.
And then we played with play dough and this happened....
...and I just have no words...
 HAHAHAHAHA

Queen of Hearts:

One of our friends threw a Mad Hatter Tea Party at her house and requested all the kids to dress up as their  favorite character from Alice In Wonderland.  We immediately thought of Alice, but then I remembered this red dress in Alanna's closet and asked her if she wanted to be the Queen of Hearts instead.  She got to wear a tiara and act like a princess all day long, so she was in!!  Haha.  And she was the ONLY Queen of Hearts amongst a sea of girls in blue dressed up as Alice.  It was such a fun day!!
 And she looked absolutely adorable!
But the sun was really bright and it was hard to get a good picture.
We tried.....
But she was over it pretty quickly.

On a side note...this was a Christmas dress from when she was 2 and it still fits!!!  Crazy.

Park Day:

We took Alanna to the park and let her ride her bike.  She had a blast and it was actually a bit chilly!  Amazing to think that it gets cold in the desert. =)
Biggest accomplishment to date:  Alanna can swing herself on the swings now!  Pump your legs!
She called this the "spider web" and was thrilled that she could climb it all by herself.  We almost never got her off of that thing.  She definitely lives up to the name Monkey.

Funny story:  She told me that she could climb all the way up to the top of the sausages.  I couldn't imagine what she thought was like a sausage at the park until she showed me.  Sure enough!  It looks like sausage links.  Only my girl...
And then daddy jumped on the swings and they tried to see who could get the highest!  Fun day!  And on a side note, this was around 4pm in the afternoon and look how dark it was!!  The sun sets here at 4:30pm and it's so so sad.  I hate it.  But I love the climate and so much more, so I can deal with it. =)

Friday Funnies:

My child has cracked me up nonstop this week.  She has such detailed thoughts and asks big questions that a 4 year old shouldn't even be worrying about.  Lately she has been obsessed about her future...

1. She told me that when it's time for college, she will move far away from me and that I will cry. (true)

2.  She told me that her husband will drive a motorcycle and she will drive a car and that she will buy him a helmet for Christmas. (yikes)

3. Then she told me that she has changed her mind and that she will just drive to college during the day and then come home to my house and live there at night.  (pinky promise?)

4.  While taking a shower with me, she asked me when I will let her start shaving her legs!  (Seriously!?!)

5. She also told her entire Sunday School class at church that her mommy had a baby in her tummy (WHICH I DO NOT) and I started getting many many congratulations from friends. =/

6. I also have this hysterical video of her that I happened to catch this week.  I'll put that up next week.

Have a great weekend!

Circus Circus with Mamaw:

Alanna couldn't wait for Mamaw to come and visit because she had promised to ride all the rides with her at Circus Circus.  I was shocked to find out that they require the adults to wear a safety belt on the carousel.  LOL!  I guess those horses (and dragons and rabbits) can get pretty wild!
Alanna loves this horse with flowers.  She calls it *her* horse.
This is Alanna's favorite ride at Circus Circus.  She asked to do it over and over. Cie-J had to tag team with Mamaw because he was starting to get nauseous.
It cracks me up that there are four people squished into the front seat of this bus, and that all the other seats are open.  Alanna told these girls that her Mamaw would watch out for them too. =)
This picture is my absolute favorite picture from the whole week that Mamaw was here.  This is the look of pure joy.  Alanna has no fear and was completely disgusted that she couldn't ride the big roller coaster yet. This ride seems like it goes really fast, but I discovered that it only goes 11.5 miles an hour.
I'm not sure who had more fun, Alanna, or Mamaw. =)

First Dentist Appointment & Cleaning:

For days, Alanna was so excited about her first dentist appointment.  They promised her a brand new princess toothbrush if she would come and get her teeth cleaned.  She was ready!  I just couldn't believe  big she looked laying on that chair.
She was not nervous or worried at all!  She literally sat perfectly still and acted like she had done this a million times before.  The technician kept complementing how amazing she was.
It also helps though, that there was a TV above her chair with Ice Age playing.  HAHA!

Friday Funnies:

Alanna is still obsessed with the idea of having a little sister.  She prays for one everyone night.  I have to remind her that it's up to God what happens, but today I told her that it's also up to me and daddy.  She came up with a great idea to just wait until the baby came out of my tummy for us to tell daddy about it.  HAHA!  I told her it can't work that way.  She could not understand why and kept saying that it was a GREAT plan and that daddy would love the baby as soon as she came out.  I finally told her that daddy would have to help put a baby inside of my tummy and that blew her mind.  She of course said....'But how?  How does he put it in there?  How does that happen mom?"  Oh no....black hole.....not ready to discuss that......

Thankfully, I told her we'd discuss it later and she was fine with that answer.  WHEW!

New BFF:

Kennedy & Alanna
Aren't these girls just the cutest things???
They played so well together and had a total blast.  Kennedy has a little brother named Brodie and they were pretending that he was a monster and kept running around the house to get away from him.  Poor guy kept following them around thinking that he was running away from the monster too.  He had no idea that HE WAS THE MONSTER!  Oh mercy, I've not laughed that hard in a long time.

Kennedy is almost 6 but look how they are almost the same size!  I think they took out every bow that Alanna has and put them all over their heads.  I'm SO THANKFUL that we met this sweet family so quickly and that Alanna has a close friend already.  That is the one thing she prayed for over and over as we were moving and God has shown Himself to be faithful.

Spiritual Birthday:

I want to remember this day forever...

Last night, as I was putting Alanna to bed, she told me that she was ready to get rid of the sin in her heart.

Here's how the conversation went.

Me: (in my head) - Oh, she's only 4, how much can she understand about it? (out loud) Honey, do you want to think about it a little bit longer?  A: No mom, I've been thinking about it a lot and I'm ready tonight.

Me: Okay then, why do you need to ask for forgiveness?  A: Because I have sin and sin is really bad.

Me: Who can forgive your sins and how?  A: Jesus, because He died on the cross for me. (she totally, in her 4 year old understanding, knew what she wanted)

And then she prayed one of the sweetest, most sincere prayers I've every heard come from a child. I know that God was smiling and I know that all of heaven was rejoicing!  As soon as she was done praying, she said she had a few questions for me.

A: So, what about the devil?  Me: Jesus now has you in His hand and the Bible tells us that no one can take you out of His hand.

A: So let me get this straight...there is a Jesus team and a devil team and I am on Jesus' team now?  Me: Yes ma'am!  And guess what?  Jesus' team ALWAYS win!  Every time!

A: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!  I can't wait to get to heaven and give Jesus a hug and tell him thank you!!

(cue the tears...)  Such a sweet girl that has such a sweet heart and now she belongs to Jesus.  <3
