Friday Funnies:

#1 - Right as I was putting dinner on the table, Cie-J decided that he needed to use the restroom.  Alanna yelled out to him "Daddy, hurry back or your food will get moldy!!"  Having NO clue why she would say that or where she got it from, we laughed, and he went and took care of his business.  When he came back, he started to eat his blueberries and noticed one that was full of white fuzz.  He looked at me and said, "Honey, this one has moldDid you not notice it?"  Alanna IMMEDIATELY piped up with "SEE DADDY!!!!  I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!  YOUR FOOD GOT MOLDY!!!!!!"

#2 - As we were running a little late one day, I said "Alanna, you need to hustle so we won't be late for gymnastics."  She looked at me, shrugged, and said "But mom, it's only like 3 miles away!"

HAVE A BLESSED EASTER!

Awwww Moment:

This is a page from Alanna's Cubbies book.  It says "Draw a picture of something you talk about with God."  She drew a picture of herself and then asked me to spell the word "Thanks".  If you look closely, you can see it at the top.  So sweet!  She said she thanks God for her family every day. <3

This Is What Happens...

When Alanna holds sweet little newborn goats...
This is in the Urgent Care clinic.  About ten minutes later, her eye had totally swollen shut. =(
And this is about an hour after her first steroid dose.  Poor sweet girl.

Easter Matching:

Alanna had just gotten an Easter box in the mail from Mamaw and she put all the Easter egg stickers on herself.  Then it was time to go get Asha from the groomer.  Asha came out with an Easter egg bandana on her neck.  Alanna squealed with delight at the thought of matching her dog!

Haha.  It was too cute.  She said "Mom, you just HAVE to take a picture of this!"

Monkey Monday:

Alanna dressed herself for church yesterday.

I couldn't decide if this was one for the Monkey Mondays or for the Friday Funnies.  It was too cute that she picked this out but I kinda wanted to put a note on her that said "she dressed herself."  LOL!

Baby Goats:

Our friend Mrs. Jaymie had some baby goats at her house, so we HAD to go and see them.  They are small and cute and so sweet.  They actually had a goat in labor while we were there and she had both of them while we were outside!  It was so neat!  Alanna immediately scooped this one up and claimed it as her own. =)  She was so sweet and kept rubbing her head on Alanna's neck and would suck on her ear like she was nursing.

THEN THIS HAPPENED.....

I noticed her eye starting to swell up and then I noticed some hives on her arm.
We ended up going to church where the pastor's wife is a nurse.  She took one look at Alanna and told me to take her quickly to the Quick Care Clinic.  By the time we got there, her arms, neck, ears, eyes and hands had hives and her eye was almost swollen shut.
She was not really in any pain and was in a great mood.  She made the doctor and all the nurses laugh and everyone thought she was the cutest thing.  If you look closely, you can see her eye swollen shut behind the glasses.  They immediately want to give her a steroid shot. =(  Luckily, they found some oral children's liquid and we opted for that instead. =) She walked out of there with two stickers and a sucker when it was all said and done.

After a bath, some benadryl, and some itchy cream, she crashed out in bed and did just fine.
Who knew you could be allergic to goats?!?!

Cousins:

As soon as our family got into town, we decided to enjoy the beautiful weather outside.  The girls quickly warmed up to each other and Alanna took Lyda's hand and they walked up and down the back sidewalk over and over and over and over.
Back and forth and back and forth.  They must have done it a hundred times.  It was the sweetest thing.  Alanna still has troubles with her "S" sounds sometimes, so she called Lydia "Fweety".
Both girls loved rocking in the rocking chairs.
Daddy and Gunkle Clint made the girls a fort with a rope and a tarp and they LOVED it!!  Who needs fancy toys when you have rocks, forts, and dirt?!?

Both girls left the bath water brown that evening.
That's when you know it's been a good day.

Matchy Matchy:

When Alanna found out that her cousin was coming to see her, she asked if she could match her.  Alanna LOVES to match people.  She wants the same nail polish color, same shirt, same bow, anything really.
So when I found these matching jammies that just happened to be the right size AND on clearance, I HAD to get them. =)  Alana was thrilled and couldn't wait to match her cousin.
 Cousin hug!  Awwwwwww!
Cousin Fall!  Whoops!

They had so much fun together. =)

Friday Funnies:

Alanna:  Mom, when I'm four, can I have a baby?

Me:  NO! You have to be married to have a baby.

Alanna: Well, can I get married?

Me: NOPE! You have to have a graduate degree to get married. ;)

Alanna:  Well, can I drive a car at least?

Me: No honey, you have to be sixteen to drive a car.

Alanna: Not fair!  Nothing fun happens when I'm four!!

New Doll House:

So, first of all...look how BIG my little girl looks playing with her doll house I can't believe it.  She looks so long and lean and not like a cute little chunky baby anymore.  I guess I need to come to grips with the fact that she is closer to 4 now, than she is 3.

Yep, that's right, I said doll house

So.....for Christmas, Cie-J and I talked about getting Alanna a doll house and ended up settling on a Barbie house.  We found a fantastic deal and jumped on it. Then we got it home and put it together and realized that it had a million tiny little parts and pieces.  And she was really getting into the Barbie image and ideas and it just wasn't a road we wanted her to go down at three years old.  (Have you ever seen a modest Barbie?  They all look like hookers!) It was a hard choice.  She cried when we sold it. =(  BUT.....she told us that she loves this doll house much more than her Barbie house and she plays with this one every single day.  All around, it was a win win.

A big wooden doll house with stairs AND an elevator.  A piano, a princess bed, a toilet (her favorite part), and it's way taller than the other one.  It's more her age and a little more innocent.

We are happy.  She is happy.

Cowgirl Alanna:

Alanna's preschool had a rodeo day and she got to dress up like a cowgirl.  They let them sit on a saddle and take pictures.  She LOVES wearing boots and a hat.  She really would make the best farm girl.  She loves all animals and says she can talk to plants. =)

Alanna The Snake Keeper:

A few days ago, we were playing with play dough and Alanna made a snake and put it around her neck.  She said it was her pet.  And the little ones on the table???  Yep, the babies.  She was so proud of herself and had to kiss them and tell them good night when we put them away in the ziplock bags when we were done.  These are the ONLY snakes I will touch and allow in my house. =)

Friday Funnies:

1. While eating dinner one night, I asked Alanna how   she knew so many things.  She said that she just knows them in her brain and they come down and out her mouth.

2. While shopping for a new suit for daddy, an older gentleman was helping us and asked Alanna how she was doing.  She said, "I'm great, how are you doing?"  He responded, "I'm fine for an old man."  She immediately turned to me and said "Mom, that man is old and he's about to die and go to heaven right?"

3. While Alanna was playing with her doll house, I overheard her saying "No, you can't have cake 'cause you're allergic!"

This girl cracks us up daily!

Helping Dad:
Cie-J has to fill up his car with antifreeze and oil every few days (that's a WHOLE different story) and he decided to do it at night instead of rushing to do it before work.  He stuck his head in the front door and asked if I'd bring him a flashlight.  Alanna heard him and immediately ran to her room and got her little pink flashlight with flowers on it. =)  She came to me and said "I got this mom.  I can help dad."
She ran outside to him and held her little flashlight under the hood, because she really wanted to help out.  Even thought it was five minutes past bed time, even though it was cold, and even though my phone provides more light than that little flashlight, we let her help.  It was such a sweet moment.

Railroad Museum:

Alanna got invited to a birthday party for a big 7 year old boy because his little sister is one of Alanna's best friends.  So basically, she was there to entertain the sister.  It was great!  It was at the railroad museum in our town that was built in 1903.
They had this small train that a man built for his own personal use that the kids could crawl up in.  She
thought it was SO NEAT and went in it three times.
One whole room upstairs had this really cute little town set up and there was a train that ran through it.  All the kids loved this room.  Shoot, even I loved this room! HA!  It was just really neat how each thing was built to scale.
Such a fun place!  We will have to go back for sure.  She says she wants her next birthday party here.
Oh my.  We shall see....

Monkey Monday:

I don't love all the laundry on the couch that needed to be folded, but I DO love that my sweet girl crawled up on my lap, put her arm around my neck, and wanted to check my emails with me. =)

Friday Funnies: Shyne Edition

Shyne (say Shine) was eating a graham cracker while I was holding her.  I asked her to smile for me and this is what I got.  HAHA!
And not to be out cheesed....Alanna had to add her smile in too. ;)
