Friday Funnies:

1.  Any time Alanna sees a tissue, she says she has to "blow sneeze."  EVERY time!  She makes this big huge loud sound too.  It's hysterical!

2. Alanna will find the tiniest little scratch or sometimes create a wowie, just so she can have a 'ban bam' - aka bandaid.

3.  As I'm walking through the grocery store, Alanna will look at the people that are passing us and say "Heeeeeey, what you doing?"  Sometimes they answer and sometimes they give us a dirty look and walk away fast.

4.  Her new favorite words are "perfect", "awesome", and "favorite".

Happy Thanksgiving Y'all!!!

I am thankful for....

1.  My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Apart from Him, I am nothing.  I am so thankful for all His blessings in my life.

2.  My wonderful husband that is such a help to me and is a fun dad that gets on the floor and plays with his daughter.

3.  My beautiful, intelligent, red headed little girl that makes me laugh each day.  She is my little lovie and always will be.

4.  A family (on both sides) that loves us and supports us and that we have great relationships with.

5.  That all of my family is healthy.  We take it for granted too often.

Dr. Storey:

One of Alanna's favorite people in the world is our chiropractor, Dr. Storey.  Yep, you read that right, Alanna LOVES going to the doctor.  As soon as we walk in the door she yells "Dr. Storey, come here!!"  Everyone in the front office just cracks up laughing.
As soon as we get called back and get into our room, Alanna immediately 'assumes the position' on the table.  She stays like this until Dr. Storey comes in...even if it's a few minutes!
Once Dr. Storey comes in, Alanna gets to 'ride' the table.  She loves that part.  She's so serious through the whole thing.  She does a great job!  And once it's all over, she gets a lollipop!

Our whole family sees Dr. Storey and we just love him.  He's so great, especially with kids.
P.S. Alanna wants to say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"
to her Papa in Arkansas...
 AND...To her
Grandpa Dan in Indiana!

Friday Funnies:

Today we were driving in the car and a funny smell came through the air vents.  Alanna said "Shooie - I smell Asha breath!"  HAHA!!!!!!

Alanna asked me if dogs wear make-up.  I told her no, and she pointed to Asha's eye and asked what 'that' was.  I told her it was an eye booger and she started laughing and said "NO WAY!"  Then she said "it's mascara mommy."

Get In Line:

Alanna has to put all her "friends" in their chairs in a line, to sit and watch Mickey with her.  It's just the cutest thing. (excuse my steamer on the right)
This just cracks me up and she does it EVERY morning.  It's her routine.  She has to find friends to come and sit with her.  And recently, the number has grown to five!  She does the same thing for bed at night I just haven't gotten a picture of it yet.

More Chock-it Pwease!

Just like a true girl, Alanna LOVES chocolate!  We buy the 72% cacao bars, so they are semi sweet.  She just begs and begs for more.  Below she is saying "MORE CHOCK-IT PWEASE!"
And on another note, that is a Miss Piggy shirt she is wearing.  I can't wait for the new Muppets Movie to come out so we can take her to see it!

Friday Funnies:

Since our accident, I've been seeing the chiropractor daily and icing my lower back at night.  A couple of nights ago, I was on the couch with an ice pack and Alanna came and asked me for a "headache.  Ummm?  What?!?  Again, she said "Mommy, I want a headache."  Cie-J and I went to great lengths to try to come up with words that rhymed or sounded like "headache" but to no avail.

By this time she was starting to get frustrated with us saying "HEADACHE! HEADACHE! HEADACHE!!!!!!"  Finally (DUH!), we said "show us a headache" and she ran to the freezer and said "headache in here."  When Cie-J opened the freezer door, she grabbed an ice pack like I was using, and came and sat on the couch with me.  HAHA!

OF COURSE!  She wanted a wowie to ice down too.

No Picture Mommy:

Those were the actual words out of her mouth this morning but she just looked too cute and I had to snap a picture!  She actually requested a bow too!
(that's two days in a row now)

My cute girl has been extra clingy since the accident and does not like me to be out of her sight.  She is still talking about the "mean truck that hit mommy's car and gave it a BIIIIIG wowwie."  Bless her little heart.  Now when she's with me in the car, she has become a sassy little back seat driver!   She tells me to slow down, watch out, and sometimes, go faster.
Silly little monkey.

Mean Truck Hit Mommy's Car:
Saturday afternoon, Alanna and I were in a collision.  THANK GOD for his protection, because we walked away from it mostly unscathed.

My poor sweet girl bit through her bottom lip and the air bags gave me a little burn on my arm.  Come to find out, we both had necks that needed to be adjusted by the chiropractor and I may have a pinched nerve.
BUT....all those things can be fixed and a new car can be bought!  People can't be replaced.  Look at this picture about again...look at how the air bags ripped up my entire dash!  I was shocked.  The steering wheel was just as torn up.  I'm just glad to know that they really work when needed!!
The other guy lost his entire back axle!  Thankfully they weren't hurt either. (even though it WAS his fault)

We are just hoping that the insurance works with us and we are able to find a new car quickly.
Oh the joys of being a grown up...

Friday Funnies:

So, I bought some fun little rice snacks at Target last week and it's called "Pirate's Booty."
The whole family is nutso over them.
They are delicious.
I highly recommend you go to your nearest Target and get some.

Sunday night, Alanna was begging for a snack right around her bedtime.  Her daddy told her that it was bed time and not snack time, but she wailed and cried "Daddy, I want booty PLEEEEEEASE!  Lanna NEEEEEEDS booty! "  We both were crying from laughing so hard.  I guess we never really paid much attention to the name until it came out of our two year old's mouth.  Can you just imagine THAT ONE coming out at church or in the doctor's office or something?!?!
OH MY!!

Her daddy also asked her after church on Sunday morning what she had learned that day.  She said "God made me."  Then she quickly added "God made you too."  We were both so proud of her.  Cie-J then asked "And Alanna, who is Lord?" expecting her to say "Jesus."  She came right back with "Lord of the Beans!!!" (that's a veggie tale movie she has that is a play on the the Lord of the Rings trilogy)  So funny that girl of ours.  After we all laughed at her comment, she said "Lanna cracks Lanna up!"

Happy Friday!!

The Little Pink Castle and the Big Girl Alanna:

We recently got Alanna this pink castle and she loves it!  It has a blue bed that folds out and this particular day, she decided to try to fit inside her castle and sit on the bed.  I couldn't stop laughing and had to grab the camera.

I told her she was too big and the bed was too little, but she was determined to fit!  She laid down and said, "Look mommy, I napping!  I fit!"

Kittens and Mittens:

My child might be a camera ham.

We took a trip to target recently and when she saw these kitten mittens and hat, she had to have them.  The good news is, it's been cold enough in the mornings here to actually wear the hat several times.
Time to report on Alanna's eating again...

On Sunday we went to IHOP and she had an omelet, two strips of turkey bacon, and a whole bowl of fruit!  That's nuts!!

When Mamaw was here, she bought us filet mignon and Alanna got her very own steak.  We weren't sure how much she would eat, but to our surprise, she ate the whole thing!!!  I'm not joking either.  A whole 3/4 inch thick steak!

One night last week, I made tacos and black beans.  Alanna had a whole taco and 4 helpings of black beans.  THEN she had chips and guacamole. (which she calls "broccoli-mole")
This child is not afraid of food and knows how to eat.  I am convinced that she is going through another growth spurt.  Thankfully she chooses good healthy food over junk food.  Hopefully it will stay a trend for her as she gets older.

However, at church, one of her teachers gave her a donut (they didn't ask us first or we would have said no) and she has been begging for more donuts EVERY DAY since then.  Every. Single. Day.  When we see them in Wal-Mart, she screams out "LOOK DONUTS!!!!"  Her daddy told her they were gross donuts and that we didn't want them.  She quickly replied "no daddy, those donuts are YUMMY!"
Oh my.

Halloween Party:

We were invited to a Halloween party and it was so much fun.  Seeing all the little kids in their costumes was just too much.

This was a little game they had set up and Alanna won some kitty erasers.
Our friends Brook and sweet little Mayzie.  She and Alanna are the same age and some days they play well together and are buddies, and some days it's a "mine" war.  Oh the wonderful twos.

This is cute little Annabelle, the hostess of the party.  She did such a great job. =)
