Friday Funnies:

These little snippets may only be funny to me.  It's okay, I just want to remember them. =)

#1 - Alanna has been learning the words to "Amazing Grace" and she sings it often.  Yesterday I heard her singing it by herself and she said "Amazing grace how sweet you are..."  She may have gotten the wording wrong, but oh, if she only knew how right she was!  All I could do was smile and quickly say a prayer that her sweet little heart will know that amazing grace someday.

#2 - Alanna likes to put her fingers in her ears and talk or sing.  She thinks this is the funniest thing!  The other day she did it and then said "Ewww, mom, I put my fingers in my ears and they come'd out dirty!!"  She's the earwax queen! (tmi?!?)

#3 - Cie-J reads Alanna a Bible story every night before bed.  She is just the cutest thing because after every few sentences, she has to make a comment.  If something bad has happened (like the snake telling Eve to eat the apple) she will say "that wasn't very nice of him!"  And if something good has happened (like Pharaoh letting God's people go) she will say "that was sweet of him!"  She says these same things every time, with every story!  SO CUTE!

Harley had to poops!

We were walking out of the Chiropractor's office and we were holding hands.  All of a sudden, Alanna lets go of my hand and yells "WAIT MOM!"  I stop and turn around to see what she was doing and she smiles up and me and says "Harley needs to go poops!!"

I laughed really hard and asked if I could take a picture.  Thankfully she said yes. ;)  And just in case you were wondering, Harley got a chiropractic adjustment as well.  All of us are good to go.

I Need To See Your Drivers License:

Our Albertson's store just got these new shopping carts in for kids.  They had a fire truck, a race car, and sports car, and this pink one.  Naturally, Alanna chose the pink cart.

We actually very rarely go to Albertson's because I think they are more expensive, but they carry one item that I like that no other store carries.  So about once a month or so we go.  This particular day, we saw them unpacking these new carts, but A) we were checking out and leaving and B) they were still unpacking them, so we couldn't use it.  Being the fun mom that I am, we actually went back the next day, just so we could use the pink cart! (I will use this when Alanna is around 13 and thinks I am not cool or fun!!!)

The store was dead and there wasn't a soul around, so I ducked into the frozen isle and took Alanna for a spin.  I told her SHE could drive.  I started swerving around and shouting "Whoa! Whoa! You are a crazy driver!"  We were both laughing and having fun when out of nowhere a man's voice speaks up and says "Ma'am, I'm gonna need to see your drivers license for that car please!" HA!  All that time, an employee of the store had been behind me.

I ended up catching a HUGE clearance sale on organic canned veggies that they had just marked down that morning, so I was thankful that we went back to Albertson's just to ride the pink cart!

Baby Doats!

Yes, that says baby 'doats' instead of goats because that's how Alanna says it. =)
This technically happened last week, but I didn't get to blog about it and I didn't want to forget it.

Our friend Ms. Jaymie had two little baby goats that were born just a few days before these pictures were taken.  They invited us out to come and see them.  They were just too cute!  They still had the umbilical cord stump attached...they were that new!

Alanna immediately asked to hold one of them.  I was worried, but she did a great job!  I just love how they keep their legs straight out when you hold them.
The picture above cracks me up because Shyne is the only one looking at me and she's just too funny and cute.

Alanna now thinks that these are HER goats and that she wants one for HER backyard.  Oh my!  I think I'll pass on the goat pellets.  German Shepherd piles are MORE than enough poop for one backyard.  We'll just let Ms. Jaymie and her family keep Alanna's goats at her house. ;)

Friday Funnies:

#1 - Alanna and I were in the bathroom at the grocery store and as we were washing our hands, an older lady commented how pretty she was and how she liked her red hair.  Alanna responded, "Thank you, I like your boofstick." (AKA lipstick)  It was the typical old lady hot pink lip stick, so it was her favorite color!  The lady smiled so big and I'm pretty sure it made her day.

#2 - We were in line at the post office, when a lady asked Alanna how old she was.  She always says "two and a half" and it makes people chuckle.  The lady then asked her how she got her owie on her leg.  No lie, Alanna responded "Welllllllll, the big goat was chasing me around and I was scared and didn't want it to get me so I run fast and I tell Wyatt to get it but he didn't so I run faster and then I fall down and Aryna take me in to my mommy cause I was crying and we had to wash it and put a ban ban on it cause it was bleeping."  The lady was shocked and had this look on her face that said "I shouldn't have asked!  HAHA!  Ban ban is bandaid and bleeping means bleeding.

#3 - Alanna has started calling her nether regions her 'privacy' and I crack up each time she says it. =)

HAVE A NICE WEEKEND!

I am about fed up with this dumb blog!!!

I post things days in advance and set them to post automatically and most times it does, but yesterday it didn't!

UGH!!!!!

Sooooo.........

Yesterday, I took Alanna to a going away party for some friends at a place kinda like Chuck E. Cheese.

She had a blast!  Me?  The jury is still out....

I bought her 20 tokens and let her play all the games she wanted.  And did I have my camera?  NO!  I am still kicking myself.  Didn't have my phone either, so no pictures.  I thought about taking her back JUST to get some pictures but decided not to put myself through that again.

Back to the point.....

She won herself 78 tickets and we took them to the counter to pick our her piece of crap special prize.  They had all kinda of plastic rings, sparkly stickers, bracelets, and other girly things.  Anything a princess would want.  I really thought she'd choose the light up key chain, but she didn't.  She looked right over all those things and proudly proclaimed to the lady behind the counter "I WANT A SNAKE!"

We are now the proud owners of a yellow and red plastic snake.  Yippee skippee doo dah.  My #1 fear in life is now in my living room for me to trip over in the wee hours of the morning.  Joy.

Pics to follow....

Lemons and Pears:

I asked Alanna what she wanted for lunch yesterday.  She said she wanted lemons.  LEMONS?!?
She wanted me to peel them like an orange and eat them.  Silly girl.

Then I cut up some pears.  They were super ripe and juicy.  We ate three of them!  3!!!

We ate them in the living room and called it a picnic.
We didn't use plates and our arms were sticky down to our elbows.
We didn't care.
It was fantastic!

New Hio:

Alanna woke up last night in the middle of the night really upset.  When I went in her room, she said that she didn't like her house anymore and that it made her sick.  She said we needed to move to a new house in "New Hio."  Then she said "or Washington."

This is sad and funny at the same time.  I had to think about New Hio for a long time before I realized what she was saying.  Cie-J and I have been discussing different options for us coming up and one of them would be to move to Ohio.  We've never really involved her in the conversations, but apparently she has been listening!

She has been VERY concerned about her friend Daniel that just moved to Washington, so that is why she wants to move there.  She keeps asking me if he is safe.  Sweet girl.

Bless her heart.  I told her that we like our house and want to stay here for a little while longer.  Thankfully that worked and she went back to sleep.
Now if I can just figure out why she thinks her house makes her sick.....????

B-I-B-L-E:

I love to hear her sing.
Her sweet little voice just melts me.

Today I called her a 'stink bug' and she said 'mommy, I not a stink bug, I a sweet girl.
 She is.

Pancake Wars:

I made pancakes last Saturday for breakfast and had the GREAT idea to make one look like Mickey Mouse.  I was so proud of myself for getting the proportions right, flipping it without breaking it, and then decorating it on her plate to look super cute.  I didn't get a picture, but trust me it was SUPER cute.

I just knew my girl would be so excited!

I called her to the table and told her breakfast was ready.  Then I sat in anticipation for her to see her surprise on her plate.  Eeeee!

She took one look at her plate, looked up at me, and said...."Nana made me happy face pancakes."

  Score - Nana: 1, Mommy 0

Friday Funnies: Picture Edition

While out on a very wind and cold day, Alanna told her daddy that she needed to share his 'lid'!!
(aka hood)

Last Play Date With Daniel: Boooooooooo

Daniel is Alanna's best friend and she even calls him her brother!!  They could even pass as siblings cause they both have red hair. =)  He is moving to Washington state next week and we are so sad.

 We rode the merry-go-round TWICE!
That stupid silly things costs a dollar to ride and we NEVER do it twice but this was a special day.

We played and then ate lunch.  After lunch it is our tradition to go and visit the kitties at the Humane Society in the mall.

We will sure miss Daniel and our Friday play dates at the mall.  I will miss my friend (his mom) Heather too.  Alanna calls her "Miss Feather."  It's so cute!

Such is the life of military/DOD families.  Sigh.

Cupcake the Pony:

Alanna got the chance to ride cupcake again.  She jumped at the chance.  I again, felt a twinge of fear as she got up there and wondered if I should walk with her on the side or just nix the idea all together.

But she was an old pro.  Totally knew what to do.  She even said 'Look mom, I hold this handle really tight."  She must of sensed my fear.

 LOOK!!
My little baby girl looks SO BIG on this pony!
Just LOOK at her!!

(and I don't even want to mention that her 3rd (gasp!) birthday is less than six months away...so I won't.)

Blue mustache.  Makes me laugh out loud.

Friday Funnies:

#1 - Cie-J and I were teasing and picking on each other at the dinner table a couple of nights ago.  Alanna looked at us and said 'Stop it!  Always be humble and gentle...the Bible says it!"  We died laughing.

#2 - Alanna brought home a craft from church and I asked her what what it was about.  Jesus was in the boat with his disciples and I asked her what happened.  She grinned big and said 'they went to NEVERLAND!!!"

#3 - We were at our friend Jaymie's house, and they have a lot of land and a lot of animals.  They have a little mini goat that runs around on the property.  Alanna was outside playing and I heard her screaming.  I went to check on her and she said 'this goat is chasing me!!"

#4 - Later that night, she told us she was scared of the goat because it had 'sharp ears and it was poking her bottom.'  HAHA!  I guess it was head butting her with it's teeny tiny horns.

 Wonderful Weekend Away: Part 2

We went to an animal rescue center(that mostly takes large cats) and we both agreed that is was the neatest part of the trip.  We went at feeding time and these beasts were sure hungry!  As you can see above, this girl Ava was telling everyone that her food was not coming fast enough!!

I was making all kinds of hissing noises to get this tiger to look at me.  When he finally did, he locked eyes with me and I got the feeling that he was telling me I'd be his next course if he could get to me.

Cie-J's favorite part was seeing a Liger.

This guy is around 700lbs and still growing!  They fully expect him to cross the 1000lb mark.  WHOA!

These animals are just so awe inspiring and I don't know if I will ever again get to be so close to them.  Literally just feet away.

AND.....while Daddy and Mommy were away....
Miss Alanna was having fun at Nana and Papa's house!

HUGE THANK YOU to Nana and Papa for keeping our little live wire for us so we could relax! (I'm sure you know that we had to twist their arms REALLY hard!)
