Ms. Sherie And Mom's Day Out:

Yesterday was Alanna's last day of "school".  She was heart broken and cried in the car on the way home.  She LOVES Ms. Sherie and her class.  She wanted to "dress up fancy" for her last day of school and insisted on a necklace.  I love this girl.  We will for sure miss this class and remember Ms. Sherie forever!

**CAUTION!!!**
There may be some bragging and a boat load of pictures ahead.....
You have been warned. =)

Alanna had a special day called "Super Kid's Day" at gymnastics where the parents got to go in the gym and see all the wonderful things she has learned up close and personal.  It was so much fun!
Her coaches always tell me how strong Alanna is for a three year old. In this picture you can see that she is doing all the work on her own.  Her coach is only spotting her.  WOW!
The coaches set up this little circuit that the kids have to go around from station to station.  Alanna always has a hard time waiting in line for the the girls that don't go as fast as she does.  She has one speed and it's FAST!!  She had no trouble posing for a photo op while she waited though. =)
Again, only being spotted and doing her spider hang by herself.  I love the grin she has here.  She knew she was performing!  Daddy was there too and she was looking at him.
Alanna and her friend Sydney think they need chalk before doing the bars.  They LOVE that they get to do that like the big girls!  Their favorite part is clapping their hands after and seeing the big puff of smoke! Haha!
At the end of the day, the coaches called the kids up to the podium one by one and presented them with a medal, a t-shirt, and a certificate.  I just LOVE the pose that Alanna chose to do up there.  She was trying to do the salute that all gymnasts are trained to do, but hers turned out to be more of a crane.  LOL!
 She was so happy.
She was the most proud of her medal.
Alanna and Sydney with their medals.
Her favorite coach, Coach Ashley, told her how great she did and how proud she was of her hard work in gymnastics.  You can tell by Alanna's big grin how excited she was.  So sweet!  Cie-J and I were so happy to get to see how much Alanna has learned in such a short time in gymnastics.

Just a few more years and this girl could be at the Olympics! =)  Of course I'm a tad bit bias...
(See!  Told you it was loaded.  Thanks for reading to the end.)

Game Day:

We took Mamaw to see Alanna's favorite spot at the "movie-ator".  This arcade is where she and daddy go for date nights. =)  She LOVES playing these video games!  Totally her daddy's daughter.
Daddy sits next to her and does the petal.  She does all the rest!
Then it was Mamaw's turn to do the petal!  Alanna came in 4th, 3rd, and 2nd!!  She has one of the high scores saved to the game!  HAHA!

Then it was on to shooting the robots.  I had never seen this one before.  Seeing this sweet little girl with her bow holding this huge gun was hysterical.
We were amazed at how well she did!  Fun day!

Friday Funnies:

I had to go to the doctor this week and of course Alanna had to go with me...

#1 - While waiting for the doctor in the exam room, Alanna noticed the posters on the walls.  They were drawings of the human body both inside and out and both male and female.  She had a million questions and told me that the girl had a crack and the boy had a pointer!  She asked me what the crack was called and I casually told her the correct name for it.  She repeated it after me and then thought about it for a second.  She said "That's a weird name mom.  Let's just say front bottom."  DEAL!

#2 - The doctor ordered some lab work for me.  Alanna asked if I was going to have a shot.  I told her yes and she became greatly concerned for me.  She asked if it would hurt and if I was going to cry.  I told her it WOULD hurt  a little, but I wouldn't cry.  She grabbed my arm and said "It's okay mom, I can cry for you." =D

#3 - Lastly, the doctor ordered me to pee in a cup.  Unfortunately, I had to take Alanna with me for that too.  We went into the bathroom and started with my business.  She, in her very loud three year old voice, said "What is going on here mom?!?!  What ARE you doing?"  When I had to put it in a small door she wanted to know who was in there and why they wanted my pee cup! The entire rest of the day she would ask me why I peed in that cup.  Silly girl.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

Alanna was in a talent show at church last night and she sang her little heart out.  I was worried that she might get shy at the last minute or change her mind, but she didn't!  She got right up there and sang her very best!  Of course we were proud of her but we were extra proud when she won first place. =)
(out of about a dozen kids ages 2-12)

Now she can't wait to get back on stage and sing in a microphone again!  Oh boy...we might have a performer on our hands.

The Day We Washed The Dog:

So we washed our dog at the gas station.  Seriously.  They have a carwash that's fantastic! But we used the Dog Wash K9000 in the corner. ;)

We've driven by this thing for 2.5 years and FINALLY decided to give it a try for the first time.  Alanna was SUPER excited to go and wash the dog!
I think even Asha was excited to get a wash.  She hopped right in and sat so nicely.

Then we turned the water on....

She was not happy, but let us wash her anyway.  And by "us" I mean "ME" because Alanna couldn't really reach that far down and Cie-J, well, I'm not sure what happened.  Next time, I'll wear a swim suit.
Asha HATED the dryer hose but Alanna insisted on helping since she could reach.
All in all, it was a success!  It took 12 dollars (6 of them were drying!) instead of the usual $60 we pay at the groomer.  I think we'll try it again for sure.

***Super COOL side story***

The machine has a card reader and accepts cash.  It wouldn't take our card and kept saying it was invalid.  Cie-J ran inside to get some cash from the ATM.  Two seconds later, two men came around the building and asked if I needed help with anything. I told them about our card not working and one of them took a twenty out of his wallet! I said no, but he insisted! Come to find out, he was the president of Stripes and he was there for the day! SO COOL! He also took several pictures of us washing our dog because he had never seen it used before. =)

Monkey Monday: Mother's Day

Mother's Day tea at her preschool.  She painted me this sweet rock and all the kids sang a special program for their moms.

Daddy sent us for a Mommy/Daughter pedicure and it was FANTASTIC!  She loves every part of it too.  I think her favorite part though, is going to sit under the light so they can dry. =)  She held so still and tried to chat up the dude doing her nails.  He gave a few chuckles here and there but you could tell that they couldn't understand each other at all.

I'm very blessed that I was chosen to be this sweet girl's mama.  I couldn't have picked one better myself.

Friday Funnies:

Our dog has been sick lately.  There are about 15 spots in my house to prove it!  ICK!!

Anywho, Alanna goes to Awana Club on Wednesday nights and last Wednesday, her teacher asked her how her week had been going.  Alanna's response was "It's going pretty good, but my dog has diarrhea!"  Her teacher was on a mission to find me after church to tell me this story.  She said they all rolled as Alanna told her story.

As I buckled her in her carseat to go home, I asked her about her conversation with her teacher and her class that night.  She quickly put her hand on her hip and gasped saying 'WHAT? She told you?????"

Sweet Park Memories:

 Hannah, Sarah, and Alanna
Sarah, Hannah, Alanna, & Luke

We met our friends at the park on Sunday night to visit and enjoy the nice weatherAs they went to leave, they discovered that they had locked their keys in their car.  It took almost an hour for the locksmith to show up!  In the mean time, we found a trail in some brush and had a nice long walk.  It was really a blessing in disguise.  We are always on the go, bouncing from one thing to another.  This kinda forced us to slow down and wait (with our friends).  The kids had more fun on the walk than they did at the park and they ALL passed out when we got home. (3 hours later!!)

Cowgirl Alanna:

Kind of anyways.  She has her fancy Minnie purse, a tape measure that's pretending to be a tie, and her hat. (Then the half worn of tattoo on her leg too!)  I honestly have no words...HAHA!

Friday Funnies:

Alanna and I found a certain movie at Target that Cie-J has been wanting for awhile.  I went ahead and bought it and told her that we would hide it in the closet and save it for Father's Day.  She agreed and we decided to keep it a secret between us.  (You see where this is going already?)

That night when he came home from work, she whispered to him that she had a secret.  Then she said a little louder that we had bought him a Father's Day present.  I reminded her that it was a secret and not to tell.  She agreed and went off into her play room to play while I made supper.  A short time later, she went and got her stuffed cat and put it on Cie-J's lap and then in a very high pitched voice she said "We got you a new movie for Father's Day!!!"  Then she quickly put her hands on her hips and in total disgust said "OH NO!  My kitty told Daddy about his Father's Day surprise!"

Oh my word...we ROLLED in laughter!  What more did I expect from a three year old?!?

Sleeping Beauty:

Alanna was playing with her dollhouse while I started supper.  Let's just say that I can always tell where she is in the house by her constant volume. ;)  Cie-J came home and I started asking him about his day when all of a sudden I stopped and realized that I hadn't heard Alanna for a few minutes.  I really thought I would walk in and find a mess but instead she had fallen asleep under the table.  Awww!  I thought it was sweet for about one point three seconds until I realized that it was 5:30 and if I didn't wake her up, she wouldn't go to bed at 8:00. =)
